I agree with you… if you set goals based on how you want to feel, those goals will be much more meaningful, and you’ll be more likely to achieve them! For example, consider a financial goal. How would you feel about earning an additional $50 per month? How about an extra $500? What would having each of those amounts make possible for you, and how would that outcome make you feel? I believe that thinking about how you might feel about achieving one of those goals vs. the other would definitely drive your decision, and serve as motivation to do what needed to be done to achieve the goal that would make you feel the best. Our feelings and intuition are powerful guides and can motivate us to achieve so much more than just writing a list of arbitrary goals because we think they are the ones we SHOULD be striving to achieve!
