Before Our Consultation
You know you need a website for your business, talents, etc., but you’re going to get so much more out of the process if you come to us with a clear set of goals. We suggest you sit with these two very important questions before our first consultation.
What is the primary purpose of your website? To promote your talents and/or services? To sell a product? To educate/inform?
Who is your target audience?
As for the style of the website, you may have your own preferences for color, layout, etc., but your first consideration should be your target audience. Your website needs to be accessible and engaging to them. We suggest that you find up to five high-ranking websites in your industry/profession that you like, stylistically, and jot down what appeals to you about each one. It is also helpful to note what you don’t like.
So that we can give you the most accurate quote, you will need to have some idea what you will want with respect to the following:
Do you already have a logo or do you need one designed?
How many pages do you need? (Consider the Home Page, About, FAQ’s, Contact Page, Testimonials, etc.)
Do you need an e-commerce solution? If so, how many items do you expect to have in your store/catalog at any given time? What kind of products do you want to sell?
Do you want to do updates and maintenance yourself, or do you want to designate someone else in your company/business to take that role, or do you want to enroll in one of our customized maintenance plans?
Will you need video players on your website?
Do you own the copyright or have written permission to use the images you wish to use on your website?
Do you need custom forms on your website?
Do you want to blog on your website?
We do have website packages available that might make your decision process a little easier, but we can and do customize plans all the time. Just ask us if you are not sure!
